Lakewatch Returns.

But only because I snagged some photos last weekend before the storms came.  They relented for a while midweek but returned yesterday, with conviction.  I’m worried for my friends with flooding and sewer backup issues.  I’m certain this round of insult to injury didn’t help.

These shots are from a lookout which is about a ten minute walk from my house.  A marker placed there reads as follows:

Here’s the view:

This shot shows how hazy it was looking more directly into the sun – humidity was 90% that morning, gathering force for the wild storms later in the day:

Happy Friday everyone!  Midwesterners, stay dry!

  2. Happy Friday, Nora. Great Lakewatch photos.

  3. 90%?!

It’s not that damp in my shower.

    Lovely photos, Nora. Thank you.

  4. UGH. 90%? I’m with Cookie. I get all sweaty now at 20%. :D

    Happy Friday Nora!

  5. Hi I just found you via Sandy’s blog, and we are both in Wisconsin! I have some great friends in your neck of the woods!Hope you faired (?) well in last night’s storms we were on the Northern edge (in Appleton) so right now it’s just soggy and messy. I have to say I am enjoying today’s weather a lot more.

    Later….

  6. OOOOooooh! lovely.
I’m pretending that the clouds that loom all around here are just on their way by. And I’m thankful, for the first time since moving here, that we don’t have a basement.

  7. WOW that is a fabulous view to have only 10 minutes from your house. Hope the storms pass soon.

  8. Oh, humidity is the durge of my life! It is! But those photos are wonderful! There is something about water that makes me feel at peace. Except when it is in my basement. But that’s another story.
    xo
Thanks for finding me. I have some choice words about this predicament I find myself in but I should not be shouting those.
    xoxo
