As I may have mentioned once or twice, I love a good memoir. My favorites are not those that relate extraordinary experiences, but those that relate the ordinary with engaging style. Since I’m such a fan of this genre, I’ve given some thought now and again to how I might construct a memoir of my own.
I’ve concluded that there’s not much to be done with my kind of ordinary. A chapter outline of my memoir might go something like this:
I Have Nothing to Wear.
As Soon As I Finish This Row.
A Little Chocolate is Good for You.
Does Anyone Else Ever Pick Up Anything Around Here?
I Started to Watch That Movie, But I Fell Asleep.
Pipe Down, I’m Counting!
Will Someone PLEASE Answer the Phone?
(And By the Way, Where IS the Phone?)
It’s In the Wash.
You Need WHAT for School Tomorrow?
Relax, I Bought it On Sale.
Back to the drawing board. A true crime story, maybe?
Happy Thursday!

Are you sure you don’t live in my house? Now that we have caller ID, the kids rush for the phone (so I don’t) but if it’s not for them, they won’t answer. Even if it’s someone we know! And then my son will start talking downstairs and walk upstairs with the phone, then leave it upstairs.

Have you thought about comedy? Perhaps a knitting book? (*winks* at Cookie)
Happy Thursday! xoxo

ROFL. That would be my life too, except for the I bought it on sale thing. That’s usually DH’s comment to me (although he’s usually talking about things like boats and cars that followed him home, and trying to talk me out of a major meltdown). And since we only have cells and no house phone any more, I’m the only one who misplaces mine. Sigh.

Hello,
I think anything you would write would be imaginative and intriguing. Would you please share some of your favorite memoirs? I love to read them also.

You could write a series of mysteries.
The Smell In The Wall
The Furry Thing In The Fridge
Where Did The Remote Go?
Who Are These People In My House?
Just a thought. ;^)

LOL. Go for it! ‘Though I like Cookie’s suggestion of The Smell in the Wall mystery. I can relate.
