Please, don’t hurt me. I was just poking around the Ravelry forums and couldn’t help but giggle at certain questions and statements – some of which are funny only because they are taken out of context! I thought I’d share a few…
“I can’t go five minutes without breaking the tips off my needles.”
(Um… anger management? Less spinach???)
“Which one is row 1?”
(… o.O)
“Can you knit upside down?”
(I’ve tried, but all the blood rushes to my head.)
“This gauge thing is a total buzz kill.”
(Sing it, sistah!)
“Weaving in ends. Would it be bad if I didn’t?”
(You mean like, BAD bad, or just bad?)
“What is skeeting?”
(That’s when you throw your knitting up in the air and shoot at it. I know some knitters who have guns you could borrow.)
“Does it matter?”
(I think that’s an existential question, which I am not qualified to answer.)
In other news, lookie what showed up on my doorstep the other day.

One of my favorite gun slingers is also handy with the dye pot, as it turns out. Isn’t it just the most beautiful, springy stuff??
Happy Friday all!!! What’s up for the weekend?

Given all the ravelry drama lately I love that you posted some funny stuff. Gorgeous new yarn. My weekend will be spent at the high school as Hannah is playing Little Red Riding Hood in “Into the Woods” all weekend.

Pretty yarn – great spring colors! I could probably contribute to the skeet brigade

I’m not so good at tiny moving targets. Stationary or moving and man sized.
OOPS!! Did I just say that?

You never know about people, eh? LOL

ROFL @ Stacey’s comment. We’ll have Angie fire at the Sock WIP skeets, and Stacey can practice on the sweater WIP skeets.
Pretty yarn!

I’ll admit, I don’t always weave in my ends. If it’s 100% wool with knitted joins, I just trim them and figure they’ll felt with wear. Have a great weekend!

That is spring on a skein! Beautiful yarn.
Thanks for the giggle.

That board is always good for a giggle. I always love the people who don’t understand what ‘no stitch’ means on a chart. It’s like yarn over… it is what it sounds like.
Love the yarn! Isn’t that Stacey just fab?

I need to poke around the Ravelry forums myself. Those are funny.
Have a great weekend!

Those are funny!
“Does it matter?”
“What’s it all about, Alfie?”
Lovely yarn.
And I’ll have you know that I have an official NRA marksman first class pin from summer camp! Plus my target with a score of 48 on it! (well, it’s SOMEWHERE….)
(that’s 4 bullseyes and an 8, BTW). But I don’t actually own a gun, I only shoot when I go to camp, so no skeeting for me.
Darn.

That’s some gorgeously dyed spring colored yarn.
Oooh. Now I want to go home and target practice on my wips. I wonder how long it would take to darn the bullet holes?

With the current price of ammo, we better be flinging blankets up so we don’t miss.
Very pretty Squishy yarn!!!!

I do believe skeeting is my new favorite knitting term. There have been many times when I’ve wanted to skeet my knitting. Love the yarn colors, that squishy is somethin’, isn’t she.

Much love for providing reminders of the lighter side of those forums.
