I refer to the photo, not the object itself. This is a portion of my completed Lace Ribbon scarf. A portion because the entirety of the thing is about 8 feet long. Note to self: Sea Wool grows massively with soaking! Having said that, with this much length I may be able to duplicate the elaborate wrapping/tying of the scarf shown on the pattern model. I may disappear underneath it, but perhaps that’s not all bad.
I’ll think about outdoor shots at some point – I just wanted to post this to assure you that (a) I am still alive; and (b) I actually finished this project, which I started sometime during the January deep freeze. I heartily endorse this pattern as one that is entertaining as well as simple. I was able to work on this in relatively social situations, and to leave the chart at home even if I had put the thing down three weeks prior in the middle of a repeat. Which I frequently did, having worked on a few other projects as this one lay dormant for weeks at a time.

Hope you’re all having a good weekend!

Beautiful. I especially love the second shot – lace as far as the eye can see!

Woo Hoo!
I’m so proud of you for finishing it and for not fainting at realizing how long it turned out to be. I think you’ll do a wonderful job of wearing it.
Well done!

It’s lovely, Nora. I’ll keep the yarn growing in mind. I can’t wait (hardly) for the modeled view.

It’s beautiful. Any project finished in the same year it was started is a quick knit – but that might just be me.
