Happy Friday!

And goodbye, July – where did it go?

Weekend plans, anyone?

Flying High.

What are these people looking at?

See that little dot in the clouds?
Wait, let me help.

Now do you see it?  Not a gull, after all.  It’s an F-16, courtesy of the Milwaukee Air and Water Show.  We had all kinds of excitement here over the weekend, with the Air Force Thunderbirds blasting overhead on and off.  [...]

Zoom Zoom.

That is all.

Completely Random.

I spent the last two evenings reading the first Princess Diaries book.  This is what happens when you live with people who leave those sorts of things lying around.  You know what?  I think I’ll read the next one.
I love Intervention.  Do you think there’s something wrong with me?
Diet root beer is such a delicious [...]

Mojo: The Tentative Return.

Thanks for all the inspiring comments about your current knitting!  It really did help.
Over the weekend, I managed to completely horse up the “easy” part of the Bleeding Hearts transition chart.  Unfortunately, my snafu was not reversible, nor was I able to rip back given the unforgiving qualities of the alpaca silk yarn.  So, out it [...]

Mojo Still On the Lam.

I was hopeful that Joan’s #1 would find it in Amsterdam.  No luck.
And then there are all these people spinning like maniacs.  Really, I am quite the fiber failure this month in contrast.
All things in good time, I suppose.
Happy Thursday everyone!  Please, tell me what you’re knitting – maybe it will inspire me!

Knitting? (/Looks Around.) What’s That?

My knitting mojo seems to be vacationing.  Most likely it’s sitting at a sidewalk cafe in Paris, sneering at the oafish Americans and smoking.   And wearing a beret — knit by someone else.
No matter.  It will come back when it runs out of Euros, hopefully without the snotty attitude.
Meantime, I read.  Lately, I’ve been through The Gemma Doyle Trilogy by Libba Bray [...]

Because I Have Nothing.

Friday Fill-Ins…
1.  The last thing I ate was tamales and green salsa from el Rey grocery.   Mmmmm.
2. A pedicure for my  running-calloused feet  is something I recently bought.
3. When it rains, it’s time to snuggle in with a book and some knitting.
4. el Jefe was the first person I talked to today.
5. Hugs are inappropriate in a business setting.
6.  [...]

This Could Be Trouble.

Today’s 10 on Tuesday is Ten Things That Turn You Off About People.
Although this topic is an invitation to negativity, I can’t help myself…
1.  Failure to say “thank you” when a door is held open.
2.  People who are “experts” in everything – even things they have never experienced.
3.  People who claim they “don’t have time” [...]

Monday: Now With More Snap, Crackle, and Pop.

This is the finale from Saturday’s local fireworks display – quite impressive!  I think every dog in a five-mile radius was freaking out…
