Twenty Questions, Anyone?

Borrowed from Carole…

1. Explain what ended your last relationship?   The statute of limitations has run on that question.  I’ve been married for 21 years.

2. When was the last time you shaved?   I decline to answer on the ground that it may incriminate me.  And?  Ew.

3. What were you doing this morning at 8 a.m.   It’s only 6:15 a.m.

4. What were you doing 15 minutes ago?  Checking my e-mail.

 5. Some things you are excited about?  Spring!  My daughter’s bat mitzvah.

6. What is your favorite flavor of JELL-O?  Ick!   No Jell-O, please.

7. Your prom night, what do you remember about it?  Prom?  Ahahahahaha…. /thud.  I probably watched The Love Boat that night.

8. Do you have any famous ancestors?  Famous?  No.  Infamous?  Probably.  As I understand it, my ancestry includes a smattering horse thieves, a long line of blacksmiths, some Prohibition-era beer traffickers,  an improbable group of Mormon converts, and an inexplicably large number of trombone players.

9. Last thing received in the mail?  Reply cards for the bat mitzvah.

10. How many different beverages have you had today?  Only coffee, so far.

11. Do you ever leave messages on people’s answering machine?  Isn’t that what they’re for?

12. Do you draw your name in the sand when you go to the beach? No…

13. Any plans for Friday night?  It’s only Monday, so not yet.  Having said that,  I’m usually so beat by Friday night that anything other than my favorite chair and my blanket don’t sound very inviting.

14. Do you like what the ocean does to your hair?  ?? I don’t believe I’ve ever put my head in the ocean.  I’m more of a wader.

 15. Have you ever received one of those big tins of 3 different popcorns?  OK, are we smoking something?  Not personally.  We get them at work.  Everyone always hogs the cheese corn, which is my favorite.

16. Do you re-use towels after you shower? Does anyone without servants not do so?

17. Describe your keychain(s)?  It’s a lanyard woven of that colorful vinyl stuff made by one of my kids.  I can always find it in my purse.

18. Where do you keep your change?   The bottom of my purse.  My desk.  The little dish on my dresser.  The lining of my coat (because my pocket has a hole in it).  Sometimes the couch.   The little cubby in the car.   You know, all the usual places.  What??

19. When was the last time you spoke in front of a large group of people?  I dunno.  I do this frequently at work.  It doesn’t even register anymore.

20. What kind of winter coat do you own? I have an array, worn according to occasion and temperature.  I’ve got the princess-cut gray wool for professional wear, a short down ski jacket (black), and a knee-length down coat (brown) for frigid temps.

Sort of a funny bunch of questions…   What’s on your mind today?

Fun group of questions! I’m thinking about the wonderful day we had yesterday with my daughter, granddaughter & husband. We invited my 86 year old twin aunts & uncle, my 90 year old aunt, my 92 year old mom and two sisters. Husbands and nephews were busy. The brunch was delicious and granddaughter charmed everyone.

  4. Dumb questions, and I LOVE your take on them. Cracked me up several times, and now I’m feeling energized to go to the gym. So there. :)

  5. Think our Carole has a thing for the ocean? ;^)

  6. I love reading peoples answers. Haven’t meme-d in a long time.

  7. Trombone players? DYING.

  8. A unique set of questions and apurely-Nora set of answers. Hanging out in my hotel room, just finished ironing, and thinking good thoughts for my interview tomorrow. How’s that for a phrasey comment?
